Imagine back in the spring of 2020, when we were all trying to figure out how much to panic, a leading national scientist told a reporter “I think this pandemic will last 3 years and mutate to become the most contagious disease modern science has ever seen.”
I don’t remember anyone making such a prediction and they wouldn’t have been taken seriously if they had. EVERYONE underestimated “the novel coronavirus.”
